A squint, also known as strabismus, is a condition in which the eyes do not properly align. One eye moves inward, upward, downward, or outward, while the other focuses on a single point.

This is usually due to the extraocular muscles, which control the movement of the eye and the eyelid, are not working together.

TREATMENT

Squint surgery is usually performed under general anaesthesia (while you are asleep) and takes less than an hour.

The operation entails moving the muscles that control eye movement in order to improve eye alignment. There will be no hospitalisation because it is a daycare surgery.
